Commemoration of the fifth centenary of Santa Bárbara as patron of the Spanish Artillery

The San Isidro Military Base in Mahón has once again hosted the celebration of the Patron Saints of the Arms and Corps of the Army in Menorca, which this year coincides with the fifth centenary of Santa Bárbara as patron saint of the Spanish Artillery. The act, carried out this morning, consisted of a mass officiated by the Diocesan Administrator of Menorca, D. Gerardo Villalonga and D. Juan Miguel Sastre, the pertinent addresses and the Act of Homage to those who gave their lives for Spain, carried out by the small crew of professional soldiers stationed at the base that ended, as tradition establishes, with the offering of a wreath of flowers.
