he General Commander of the Balearic Islands bets for the comprehensive rehabilitation of Sant Felip

The General Commander of the Balearic Islands, Fernando Luis Gracia Herréiz, highlighted this Friday the work carried out by the Menorca Military Consortium and invited “more than ever” to join efforts and wills for the “ambitious project for the comprehensive rehabilitation of the Sant Felip environment”.

Gracia Herréiz spoke these words during her speech at the traditional Military Easter ceremony, which took place in the courtyard of the Isabel II palace in Maó, and pointed out the “favorable cultural, environmental, social and economic impact” that the materialization of said project may have for the Island.
He also alluded to the war in Ukraine, which “has hit us face to face with a reality that we thought had been overcome and that shows the need to consolidate a consistent, credible and dissuasive security and defense,” he said. In this sense, he indicated that the increase in the Defense budget has an impact on an improvement in the processes and activities of the Armed Forces.
