The Consortium celebrates the 50th anniversary of the General Basic Academy of Non-Commissioned Officers

The Military Consortium of Menorca will celebrate, starting next Friday, June 14, the 50th anniversary of the Basic Scale of Non-Commissioned Officers and the General Basic Academy of Non-Commissioned Officers, through a conference and an exhibition.

The exhibition “At your command my Sergeant!” It will be inaugurated this Friday, in the Multipurpose Room of the Palace of Isabel II (former Military Government), and will remain open to the general public until next June 28, during free visiting hours from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

On the same day, at 7:30 p.m., Lieutenant Antonio Martínez Pons will offer the inaugural conference under the heading “From the Sergeant with Halberd to the 50th anniversary of the General Basic Academy of Non-Commissioned Officers.”

The General Basic Academy of Non-Commissioned Officers of the Spanish Army (AGBS) is the training center for future non-commissioned officers. Its headquarters are located between the Lleida municipalities of Talarn and Tremp, located in the Pallars Jussá region.
