La Mola opens to the public with a new “escape room” and a guided tour using QR codes and Wi-Fi connection

On July 1, La Mola reopened its doors to allow visits to its facilities. This reopening has been carried out by implementing all the security measures recommended by the health authorities, to avoid any contagion caused by the COVID-19 virus, offering an interesting leisure offer with the main novelty of the expansion of the “escape room”, an activity that started last year and has now been improved.

This activity, which is offered under the heading of “The last visit”, is practiced in galleries of about 200 square meters that were built, according to legend, in the darkest area of the Fortress, in the 19th century under the Empire of Isabel II, to transfer criminals from any part of the kingdom who were sentenced to death for their crimes. The gallery was her last space to purify her sins. Thus, it is the most appropriate place for this test with a high adrenaline load, but in which age does not matter as it adapts to any type of user profile.

Last year a total of 1,200 residents enjoyed this activity and also took the opportunity to take a guided tour of the whole of the Fortress.

It is also important to note that the monument will launch a tour of its facilities in a few days using a QR code, an initiative that will allow you to visit the monument individually, using your mobile phone and the free Wi-Fi connection that will be provided at the entrance thus avoiding agglomerations and concentrations of large groups of people.

Another activity that this year has been endowed with more resources are the theatrical visits “La sombra de La Mola”, which have been so successful in past editions, and are also maintained, due to their great reception, the evening visits and breakfasts with the first sunrise of Spain.

Castle of San Felipe and Military Museum of Menorca

Two other monuments managed by the Consorcio Militar de Menorca, that is, the Castillo de San Felipe and the Military Museum of Menorca, have also reopened their doors to receive visits from residents and tourists.

The Menorca Military Consortium recommends checking in advance the visiting hours to these monuments and the ticket prices on the web pages https://www.consorciomilitarmenorca.com and http://www.fortalesalamola.com/
