The Castell de Sant Felip volunteers

After the parenthesis of the pandemic caused by the coronavirus, the Association Amics del Castell de Sant Felip intends to start, as soon as possible, the work of recovery of said enclave whose heritage and cultural value is indisputable.

In an article published in the Diario Menorca, one of the promoters of the initiative who also works as a tourist guide of the monument, Fernando Serrano, has announced that the group of volunteers plans to meet next April 3 to begin with the cleaning of the undergrowth, clearing and partial reconstruction of the part of the Spanish castle.

Serrano has stated that they want to follow the example of the Illa del Rei volunteer association and that the good news is that Sant Felip already has a master plan for its recovery, promoted and financed by the Menorca Military Consortium, to improve the conditions of tourist visits and recover, as far as possible, said monument.
