This Saturday the first edition of The Meadower- Menorca 2023 was held, with the Isabel II de La Mola Fortress, in Maó, as its nerve center.
More than half a thousand participants took part in the test, the first obstacle course to be held on the Island, and which consisted of three different distances and therefore three races.
The most demanding competition, the Hard, with a stretch of 12 kilometers and 27 obstacles, was won by Alex Sibot Sánchez, while second place went to Marc Grimalt Domenge. The podium was completed by Iván Canet Melis, who entered in third position.
Petra Arvela led the women’s classification in the Hard distance, while Julia Rita Román from Maya crossed the finish line in second position. Third was the Mallorcan Neus Ramis Sureda.
The ‘short’ test, the so-called Fast, consisted of covering a five-kilometer route avoiding 17 obstacles. The first to do so was Sergio Hurtado Borrega; Toni Camps Camps crossed the finish line in second place, while Marc Camps Camps took third place in the classification.
Female
In women, Ana Bueno Aliod managed to finish first; behind her, in second place in the women’s Fast, came Arantxa Huescar Camps, and Alícia Cengotitabengoa Mora finished third.
The organization also promoted a test for children, which was the third race of the day (actually, the first, since it was the one that opened the program of the day), although at the close of this edition, the results had not been registered. results (at least, they had not been provided).
Once the tests were over, the participants, their companions and other fans were able to enjoy music and fun in unison, the ideal culmination of a test that has come to the Island to stay.
