The Central Military Library, dependent on the Institute of Military History and Culture of the Army, is specialized in all topics related to military science and history. It brings together the most complete repertoires of military legislation, ordinances, ranks, regulations and instructions; campaign histories, regimental histories; works on weapons, military health, uniforms and histories of the different weapons and bodies. It also has important historical collections on Art, Architecture, Engineering, Mathematics, History, etc.
The reading room, with a free access reference collection, has a magazine area, twenty reading stations for users, four connection points to the automated catalog and the Internet, and two microfilm players. The BCM also includes a small media room with two listening and viewing stations.
The library belongs to the Defense Library Network since 2008 and its collections are included in the Collective Catalog of said Network.
