First meeting of the year of the Board of Founders of the Menorca Military Consortium

This Monday, the Board of Founders of the Menorca Military Consortium met in the meeting room of the Isabel II Palace, located on Isabel II Street in Mahón.

This was the first meeting of 2026, and one of the main items on the agenda was several aspects related to the new statutes of the Consortium of the Menorca Military Museum and Historical-Military Heritage of the Port of Mahón and Cala San Esteban.

Representatives from the Ministry of Defense, the Menorca Island Council, the municipalities of Mahón and Es Castell, and the Balearic Government attended the meeting.

NOTE: The meeting was attended by the General Commander of the Balearic Islands, Major General Fernando Luis Gracia Herreiz, the president of the Standing Committee of the Military Consortium of Menorca, Colonel Antonio Rojas, the mayors of Maó and Es Castell, Héctor Pons and Lluís Camps respectively, the Minister of the Sea and Water Cycle, Juan Manuel Lafuente (representing the Balearic Government), the president of the Island Council of Menorca, Adolfo Vilafranca, the Delegate of Defense of the Balearic Islands, Colonel Juan Manuel Torres (representing the Ministry of Defense), the representative of the Mahón delegation of the Port Authority of the Balearic Islands, Juan Pino, the Director of the Military Museum of Menorca, Colonel José Luis Sales, and the sub-lieutenant and head of administration of the Military Consortium of Menorca, Ángel Delgado.
