The Spanish Commission of Military History (CEHISMI) held its regular monthly meeting last October 2 on the Island, under the presidency of the Lieutenant General of the Marine Infantry, His Excellency. Mr. Francisco de Paula Bisbal Pons, director of CESEDEN and President of CEHISMI.
Taking advantage of their stay on the Island, the members of said organization visited the monuments managed by the Military Consortium of Menorca, such as the Castle of San Felipe and the fortress of Isabel II in La Mola.
It is important to highlight that the Spanish Commission of Military History (CEHISMI) is a body dependent on the Higher Center for National Defense Studies (CESEDEN). Its main objectives are the following:
• Promote, promote and develop activities related to Military History that affect more than one Army or the Civil Guard.
• Cooperate with national and international centers and organizations of their specialty, coordinating the activities of those belonging to the Armed Forces when their joint action is required.
• Exercise the representation of Spain in international organizations of Military History in cases where this is agreed.
